The GymGa Live Cup, held in the evocative setting of Lucca Comics & Games 2024, ended on November 2. The tournament, designed for primary school children, saw the participation of hundreds of young players from all over Italy. In addition to the commitment shown, the participants had a lot of fun, confirming that they can play in a healthy and active way even in front of a screen.
The GymGa Live Cup awards ceremony was entrusted to world volleyball champion Andrea "Lucky" Lucchetta and Riccardo "RiC" Cangini, founder of GymGamEnt. The winners of the two categories were Margherita Bini (5-9 years) and Elia Campi (10-13 years).
The list of thanks for the success of the initiative is long, but we would like to mention the people with whom we have remained in closest contact. First of all, thanks to the organization of Lucca Comics & Games, which enthusiastically welcomed the idea of hosting GymGamEnt, starting with the general director Emanuele Vietina, Andrea "Fains" Faina, Giada, Lilia, Daniele Luchi and the festival secretariat.
A special thanks go to Médecins Sans Frontières, Laura Grillo, Sofia Giannotti, Alessia Gracco and the guys who looked after the children during the event.
For GymGamEnt, an infinite thanks goes to Nicholas Cangini, without whose tireless commitment the Live Cup would not have been possible, and to Massimo Silva, who facilitated all the activities, as well as Andrea Piovaccari of Be2Bit, who remotely solved code problems of the platform still in alpha phase.
Thanks also to Alex Cangini, for testing and tuning the game exercises, to the aerobics champion Giovanna Lecis, who has always believed in the project, to Lorenzo Malafarina, who gave us the opportunity to best tell the initiative, and to Francesco "XboX" Fugazzi, who constantly supports us on every technological aspect.
Finally, a special thanks goes to the great Andrea "Lucky" Lucchetta, who in addition to bringing his sports know-how, animated the event with his unique presence. Who better than him, a coach halfway between real life and cartoon, could animate an event like the GymGa Live Cup?
The GymGa Live Cup will return to the "Fa' la cosa giusta" festival from March 14 to 16, 2025 in Milan. In the meantime, you can sign up for free on www.gymgament.com and start training!
